Steinway The Julianne Grand Piano
Furniture designer, Terrance Hunt, collaborated in the design of the Model O “The Julianne” piano.
The case is constructed of African mahogany enhanced to suggest a Chris-Craft type color and coated in a high-sheen polyester resin reminiscent of the lacquer finish of a wooden speedboat. The mahogany is inlaid in the fashion of such a craft, and the lid in particular resembles the decking one would expect to see. The music desk has a clever windshield look and actually folds down as the screen on a wooden runabout would.
